Strange Axis movement
«
on:

Setting up a new controller, and i noticed that all axis don't return to the same position that the left from. For example
Starting at 0
G0
X 5"
X-5" (expecting to be at 0)
But ending at -2" on both x and y axis.
Any ideas?

Are you sure that you're in incremental mode?
When you do X 5, does it go to 5?
Either your steps/unit is wrong, or you're losing steps.

It will move out in one direction 5" but return in a different measurement.
In the General Logic Config Panel, the distance mode is Absolute, and IJ in Inc.
Need to learn more about it. Still in learning mode lol

X-5" (expecting to be at 0)
In Absolute mode, this should end up at -5, moving 10"

Most people use absolute most of the time.
But each has their place.

Like anything else, the more we know, the more we find that we don't know
Thanks again.
