Changing Motor Rotation Direction
« on: May 09, 2007, 02:39:24 PM »
Hi all,

I've been using Mach3 for a while now, but I haven't really experimented, it just does what I want and I like it!  ;) I did a quick search but couldn't find a thread for this, although I'm sure there probably is one somewhere!

Anyway, I'm building a new machine, and it has a 4th Axis, the A-Axis. This is slaved to my X-Axis as a dual leadscrew design. I slaved the A motor to the X easily in Mach3 but when I use the X jog function, my A Axis motor is rotating in the opposite direction to the X axis, and I can't seem to figure it out. They are all wired up the same. How do I reverse the direction of rotation in Mach3 for a stepper motor?

Thanks all.

I had an issue where everything was coming out reversed on my A axis.  I reversed direction by going into Config --> Ports and Pins --> Motor Outputs and then checking Dir LowActive.

fwiw....another example of the great configurability of Mach
