Pokeys57CNC switch pin Mach3
« on: October 16, 2015, 08:06:01 AM »
Hi,
I use Mach3 an Pokeys57CNC.
I can not find the link between the SWITCH pin connector and pin number configuration. What should I set pin using the Swicth card connector.

Thanks for your help

PoKeys57CNC uses 'dedicated I/O' pins, so the switch input pins do not behave like regular PoKeys pins.
When configuring Pulse engine in Mach3 plugin settings, 'External 4ch with IO' option must be selected and 'Dedicated limit/home' option must be selected for the axes pins.

Hi NeoTo,

Thanks for your answer.
I had not selected the pin 0 on 3 axes in Pokeys configuration software, homing working properly but with a very basic speed.
I always have trouble with probing, the switch probe is well recognized in Mach3. Digitalize the led shows the manual activity on the switch probe, but the command GCODE G31 Z-50 has no effect on the Z axis, the axis does not move.
Is there another command to perform the probing?

The homing speed is configured in Mach3 configuration (Homing/Limits diagram).

Regarding probing - did you try to change the polarity of the probe input (Invert option in PoKeys plugin settings)? Does Mach3 display any error on executing G31?

- When I increase the homing speed on the X and Y axes, I exceed the home switch and stop the limit switch.
- The G31 command forwarding me the error: Probe error - overrun

What are the values of the motion parameters you use?
Regarding the G31 - did you try to invert the probe signal as I suggested earlier?

When y try to invert the probe signal, i get the message: Probe Ignore. actived at call for probe.
where find the motion parameter ?

The motion parameters are configured in Mach3's dialog (steps per unit, max. velocity, acceleration...)

Write the complete G31 command here.

Can you check that you are running the latest Mach3 version (R3.043.066) and the latest PoKeys software and firmware?

For the Z axis : Step = 160.2605863  velocity : 3000 and acc : 496.06707

The command is in MDI : G31 Z-100

The version of Mach3 is the latest an licenced, idem for Pokeys , the version of software is 3.1.65 and firmware 4.1.41

Hi,

got exactly the same problem with my PoKeys57E.
Installed the latest firmware for Pokeys.

Regardless, probing command G31 Z-100 F200 always fails with the message: "Probe error - overrun" >:(

Need help!
