Stepper driver and Mach3 Question
« on: September 29, 2015, 08:09:08 PM »
Hello all.
I dug out a driver box I used some years ago that I built with Centent cn0143 drives and I cant get them to run properly in Mach3,
the steppers all run but only one direction no matter what key I use negative or positive direction. Last time I ran them I was using a Dos based program.
I  also have another box I put together with Gecko G201 drives running Mach3 with no problems runs great. What am I missing ?

      Thanks

Probably everything. DOS hasn't been used since the 80's back in the day of the 8088 processor. Good luck trying to get it to run or better yet... why waste your time?

Try increasing the pulse width in Mach3 motor tuning.
Centent drives were precursors to Geckos, and should be similar to older G201's.

thanks for the replies, played with motor tuning an tried the pulse width and all but no luck,
was hoping to use these under Mach3 but if they wont work under a windows environment then ill
have to replace them, I kinda like the Mach program  :)
