Hello Everyone....

I am a newbie. Please help...

We have a maxpath 42 and i am using mach 2 software. right now, when i open mach2 using the maxpath profile the reset button keeps blinking even if i press it. it says EMERGENCY MODE ACTIVE.

MAXPATH42 is hooked up on a pc with XP OS.

is there anyone here, who has working maxpath42 run by MACH2? please help me with the configuration to make our CNC machine work.

There is a good vdeo that Art did on setting up a Mach3 (I would run 3 if I were  you) You can find the video's on the mach support page.
The Video will show you how to fix the Estop problem and if you need more please feel free to ask.

anyway, why should i run mach3 instead of 2? is it more easier to configure?

The Support for 3 is MUCH better and it will do MANY more things (I don't have 2 installed now )

and works well for your CNC? what CNC machine are you using? ok i will try to install MACH3 and ask Mitchell of MAXNC and will hear what he will say about MACH3... and if he could help me with the pin and emulation setup.

right now my machine is not responding. just powers up and nothing

i have my machine responded ( i have figured that my parallel port is not working- of the pc where i hooked the CNC)  i have used the cnc software that MAXPATH provided, it worked. however it is not working yet with mach2. i will still talk to MItchell and see how woud help me figure things out.
