Scrolling Error in Mach 3
« on: June 27, 2015, 03:32:08 AM »
I cannot move my router in the negative (left) direction in the X-axis.  Both my right and left arrows moves it in the positive (right) direction.  The same thing is happening when I am using my X-box controller.  I have not been on it for about two weeks.  I have never had this problem before (I have only had it up and running for 18 months).

I have no skills in the diagnostics of Mach 3.  I am an amateur in the CNC machining world.  My Mach 3 was setup by the individual I bought my DIY kit through.

Any help would be appreciated!

That sounds like a hardware fault in the wiring to the stepper driver, I have had a very similar thing happen to my Z axis.  IIRC a wire had become disconnected between the BoB and the driver, but danged if I can remember which one!  But try a careful check of the wiring.

JohnHaine,

I appreciate the response.  I was thinking that as well.  I did take a quick look where I would initially expect a wire to be loose and all looked good.  I will take a harder look.

Cheers,
