Newbie Issues
« on: March 06, 2015, 08:27:01 AM »
Ok not sure if this is the correct place for this post and sorry if its not, but here goes.
New to this but am having issues getting the .TAP file to show up correctly in Mach3.
I created a file with Cut2D, sent it to LazyCam, set all the values needed and posted it to Mach3.
In Mach3 it is super big and 95% of the image doesn't even show on the image display.
 What am I doing wrong?
I am adding the lazycam file, if you can fix it or tell me what I did wrong I would greatly appreciate it!!

I am using a 0.050" DIAMOND CUT CARBIDE ROUTER BURR
Cutting 30"x20" 3/16 thick dollar tree foam board

Any help would be great
Thank you!

Why are you sending the Cut2D file to LazyCAM? Create your g-code in Cut2D.

Well the Cut2D only saves files to DXF, EPS & AI formats. Mach3 wont read any of those, only TAP, NC, NCC & TXT..
LazyCam exports to TAP.

You need to learn how to use Cut2D.
Create your toolpaths in Cut2D, then use the Save Toolpath option to export your g-code from Cut2D.

There's no reason for you to be using LazyCAM.
