Mach 3, Gecko G540 and UC-100
« on: January 25, 2015, 10:19:36 AM »
Hi,  Im trying to get my shapeoko 2 CNC milling machine setup with Mach 3.  I'm using a Gecko G540 and a UC-100 USB parallel port to USB adapter.  When I run a test program of a 25mm square, the square comes out to 20mm.  I tried using the G540 XML loader but the axis steps were way off.  My current step per setting for XY is 40.  I have to use the UC-100 because my PC is windows 7 64 bit which will not work directly off the parallel port.  My question:  is the UC-100 compatible with Mach 3 G540 configuration?

Yes, The UC100 and G540 will work fine together.
If your g-code is correct, then your steps/unit are probably incorrect.
