Mach3 + CS LAB Ethernet 32 or 64 Bit??
« on: January 05, 2015, 03:12:43 PM »
Mach3 writes for 32 Bit with parallel port

But> Mach3 + CS LAB Ethernet with PC windows7 >> 32 or 64 bit ??
Can Mach3 than perfect work on 64 Bit?

Mach itself will run fine on a 64Bit OS, it is just the parallel port driver that requires a 32bit OS.
So you can use whatever you want.

I read on some topics that 64 Bit problems would be with the VB scripts ... true or false ??
I would obviously like to go for 64 bit

Not heard of VB issues with 64bit OS and I know that is what CS-Lab use on their machines. I only have Xp on my machines so cant say from experience.

Hi FredMazak,
I'm running a Csmio ip-s controller on a 64 bit windows 7, and both Mach3 and 4 run fine. I have several VB scripts running without any problems on Mach 3. Mach 4 has a small glitch with m3/m4 not starting the spindle. But the spindle on/off button works ok. M3/M4 sends the 0-10v to drive but it doesn't activate the output.
Hope this helps.
