Need Estop Output
« on: December 28, 2014, 12:08:41 PM »
I need a way to have an output go active when Estop is triggered. As far as a I know, all outputs are turned off when Estop becomes active. If I define Estop Output as active low  then I suppose I could set an unused output to active high. When Mach is running the output will be high and when it Estops is will go low. This also works for when Mach is not running because it seems that my parallel port has all its outputs set to high upon system boot (something I would like to change if I could figure out how). What I would really like is for there to be a way within Mach to do this "officially".

If you Opto-Isolate the I/O on your interface boards Routout CNC do a BOB which gives direct screw terminal connections to your parallel port pins (they have Opto-Isolation on their driver boards).
