Z Hits limit at start of g code

Every time i start a g-code the Z drive hits the top limit.  How do i stop the Z from traveling to the top.

Fix your g-code that's telling it to do that.

OR make sure that the Z travel direction is set correctly  .

From Z0
G1 Z1 should raise the spindle to +1
G1 Z-1 should lower the spindle to -1
