Windows CE.net Operating System
« on: November 02, 2014, 05:32:26 PM »
Hello All,

I was on the hunt for a small footprint motherboard to fit out a new CNC controller when I ran into a compete system in a box and it a fan less type setup.

Anyway I bought one with the idea of using it as it was a complete system that I could pull and arrange as I needed in my box.

The operating system is Windows CE.net.  Can I update this to XP or just reuse it or use CE as the controller software.  Anyone out there accomplished this?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Lee

You can try using Windows CE but if you look at the requirements for Mach 3 the OS start at Windows 2000 and run thru Windows 8.1 on a laptop or desktop computer. So I would say no it won't work but doesn't hurt to try.
