Mach3 support in Inventor HSM Pro?
« on: October 29, 2014, 05:49:25 PM »
Hi! I try to export g-code from Autodesk Inventor HSM Pro but the only profile I can find is for Mach2, and I have big problems getting that to work. Is it possible to export something useful from Inventor HSM Pro to Mach3?

Best Regards / Jimmy

Search their support form, there are a couple of posts that have the mach3 post attached.  Be careful, there are a couple that are out dated.  If you post they will respond fast with the latest post processor.   They are Java and very flexible.  I have created several custom ones myself.

The post processor for mach2 and 3 are not much different.  I did make a change to fix the workoffsets and submited it.

The standard Mach2 post that ships with HSM and CAM360 works just fine for me.  For my implementation all I had to do was turn off the G28's from the post screen.

I've been using HSM with Mach since the first public beta.  I'm milling something with it right now, for that matter.  :)
