You need to explode the text in AutoCAD with the express tools text explode command.

Do you have the Express Tools installed? You can only explode text with the Express Tools "Explode Text" command, from the Express menu.

I have autocad 2000i and couldn't find express tools there. But I did manage to download it from a website.
Thanks

Back then, the Express Tools were an extra cost option. I think they've been included with AutoCAD since AutoCAD 2004 or 2005.

Another problem I'm having is sending lazycam drawing to mach3. On the LC program I have a drawing and it shows all the chains then I' ll generate a gcode and open it up in Mach 3 and find something completely different.
Thanks

There is a manual for LazyCam in Member's Doc's and a user should read it.
Sounds like your not defining what you want machined properly in LC.
