C-10 BOB acts strange with 2nd parallel port
« on: July 10, 2014, 06:33:45 PM »
I wanted to add a probe to my cnc machine but all the pins were full on port 1 so i added another port and a C-10 breakout board. I hooked up the C-10 with a serial port and everything seems to work at first. Once i start my computer a red light turns on showing that the C-10 is on. I tested it and it has 4.10 volts when the red light is on. When i start up Mach3 it asks me which profile I want to use so i click VR5050_VELOX_2013 then Mach3 starts but before I do anything it says "Motion Control Hardware Plugin sensed!! Your system is showing more than one control device Please click the one you would like this profile to use." So I click Normal Printer port Operation, but as soon as I press OK the red light on the C-10 BOB turns off and I only get 1.25 volts from it. I know its not the wrong port address Port 2 though. The weird thing is that if I use the right port address the light turns off once I press OK to Normal Printer port Operation but if i use the wrong address the light stays on when i press OK to Normal Printer port Operation but the C-10 won't work for the probe. So if anyone could help me I would appreciate it and I can give you more details in needed.
