I am trying to create a new profile in Mach 3.  When I do, one of two things happen:

1.  Nothing
2.  A blank line is generated a the top of the profile list

I am running the latest version of Mach3, Ethernet Smoothstepper, Windows 7 64-bit.  I am logged in as system administrator, and have granted Mach3 full control priviledges.

I have reinstalled Mach3 several times, and the last time in a different folder (Mach3A).

I need to create a new profile in order to install Calypso MSM, which requires a new profile.  The problem before trying to install Calypso MSM.

Any ideas out there?

Create a new desktop shortcut, with the target being C:\Mach3 /p newprofilename
When youstart mach3 from the shortcut, a new profile will be created.

I will give that a try.  Thanks.   In the regular dialog there is a checkbox which will use defaults when checked.  Does your process assume checked or not checked in that box?  I need it to be unchecked.

Sorry, but that did not work.

It creates a clean, blank profile.

sorry, it's C:\Mach3\Mach3.exe /p profilename

Tried that.  Note the blank line on the top of the profile list
