RESET MACRO

my Y axis goes up when i hit the down arrow key,i was looking around and soneone suggested this. not know how to reset key macro. any help would be great

Config menu the System HotKeys, you can change them there, just click on the axis you want and a box will appear and you then just click the key you want on your keyboard, repeat for any axis you wish to change. However depending on the type of machine the Y axis moving that way may be correct. You have to always think of the tool in relation to the work rather than the actual axis direction.

I did that same results I changed several different keys ,the y axis still goes up with both keys   (up key goes up down key goes uo)  do you have any other ideas?

Ah now that is different, you never mentioned the axis direction being the same regardless of key. Anyway your problem is most likely loose wiring on the Y axis Dir pin, either that or you have the wrong pin or port assigned for it in Mach.

ok could you give me an idea where the Y axis dir pin might be  as far as the pin ports could you tell me what the assigns should be

It will be a wire connected from your computer to your breakou board or drive but other than that I cant say as I do not know what hardware you have. Regarding which port and pin it should be in Mach, again I cant say as I do not know your hardware or how it has been connected. The person that built the control box will be the only person that knows.

This is a very common issue lately, frequently caused by weak or lower voltage (3.3V)  parallel ports  and breakout boards that require 5V signals.
