Laptops and ports

We are planning to purchase a Dell laptop but are needing to know about the parallel port. They are wanting sell me a USB parallel port will this work with my Mach 3 that I downloaded this past month? Any advise is appreciated.

Don't get a lap top. Get a desktop for your machine. There are options for USB. Parallel printer port is the most common connection though.

Dont think so, I have some vague reccolections of someone managing to use one but not sure.
Sorry I couldnt be more helpfull but might be worth doing a search for USB Parallel port on the forum.
