Feed Speeds
« on: December 06, 2013, 11:57:35 AM »
Hi Guys -

My speed settings seem to be getting stepped down when I go to cut the pieces.  I have higher feed rates in cut3d but they are not cutting at those speeds once loaded and running?

Any thoughts?

Joe

Are you calling feeds higher than you have the Velocity set in motor tuning?

With the type of code that Cut3D outputs, which is LOTS of short segments, your Z axis acceleration will usually have the greatest effect on velocity. The issue you're having is that Mach (dictated by physics) just can't change direction fast enough to maintain the commanded velocity.
