Beginner and need help wih Mach3 setup
« on: November 12, 2013, 05:52:33 AM »
Hi, I just purchased a 3040 CNC router and I am really looking forward to using it.  I am having some troubles being able to move the spindle in x, y and z movements. I can get the spindle to turn but can't move it. I am using Mach 3 Version R1.83.027, it came with the router. I have also attached my .xml file.
Not sure what the problem is as I have enabled the parallel port in the bios and ensured it is epp mode.
Any help would be really appreciated as I am totally stumped.
All cords are connected tight so I don't think it is that.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Russ,
Thanks for that. I have attached an image I what I have. I followed what the manufacturer suggested. If I haven't filled it all in correct, how do I find out the other values I need?
Thanks,
Andrew
