Keyboard Step Moves Both X and Y axis, wrong amount - Why?
« on: November 02, 2013, 03:01:18 PM »
Pressing the Tab key to get the pendant, I set the step function to .001". I set the Jog mode to Step. I hit any of  the left/right/up/down arrows on the keyboard. In all cases, when just pressing one arrow key, my mill moves -.005" on the X axis and -.02" in the Y axis. It doesn't matter what arrow I press, I get the same results. Both axis move in the same direction, the same amount.

But when setting the jog mode in the continuous mode, the arrows behave correctly.

Using a USB pendant, the same thing happens.

What am I doing wrong?

Unplug the USB pendant and disable any Brains or Plugins it uses and see if you still have the problem.
If you do then attach your xml and I will see if I can find a problem.

Thank you for the quick response.

I disabled the plug in, disconnected the pendant, restarted Mach3, disabled the plugin again. Same results.

I'm not sure what .xml you want. I have attached Mach3Mill.xml

Ok I see you are using the DSPMC and I think that may be the problem.
I have tested here in simulation and when I jog via the keyboard or screen buttons they work as expected in step mode.
Maybe best to post on the DSPMC part of the forum and see if Rufi can shed any light on things.
