I purchased a plasma cutter from these people and I need a parallel port to hook up my hardware. I purchased a USB to parallel adaptor and my hardware does not seem to be communicating with my software. Is that the problem if so what do I need to do?

USB to parallel adapters will not work with Mach3. You either need to get a PCI parallel port card, or get an external motion controller like the SmoothStepper.
