Can't change feed override value
« on: October 09, 2013, 02:57:25 PM »
Hi,

I can't seem to change the override value on the FRO. It stays at 7% no matter what.

The arrows don't move it and when I code, say, F380, it sticks to 26.6. If I hit the reset button inside the FRO panel, it will speed up to F380 until the next line then go back to 7% and I have to keep hitting reset to make it go to the speed I have set in code. I can't do this while actually cutting a part of course because it jerks due to the speed change.

How can I fix this?

David

Check on General config that you do not have the No FRO on Queue chosen.
If that is not the problem attach your xml and I will take a look.

Thanks\ you for your response Hood. The No FRO on Queue was not checked. The FeedOverRide Persist was on, but changing it didn't do anything.

Attached is my xml.

It may be something to do with either the controller you are using or may be because you are using the supplied pirate licence that came with it ;)

Ugh, so the one they sent me with the machine isn't legit  :-\

Is there anyway to know if buying a license will work or is my machine just not compatible?

Open the Mach3 folder on your computer and delete the Mach1Lic.dat file. That will put Mach into Demo mode and that is still very usable, certainly enough for testing things out.
