Homing issue.
« on: August 08, 2013, 02:39:12 PM »
Hello,
I am having problems trying to home two of the three axis on my cnc. The y axis will home itself, touching the switch and backing off until it releases the switch. The issue is that x and z automatically zero after the y axis home is touched. I am using three seperare homing switches that are not connected in any way. Any ideas of what is causing this?

Thank you,
Phill

Sounds like you have noise or bouncing home switches or possibly a config issue.
If you attach your xml I will check for the latter.

When I attach the XML file to the reply it gives me an error message of duplicate file already uploaded.

you will need to copy your xml to your desktop and rename to something unique, babo18 should do :)

That is the Mach exe by the looks of it, search for another file with the same name, you will need to rename to something different this time as the forum only accepts a file name once, try babo18a and it should be fine.

That xml doesnt have any home switches set up so it would seem that is not it as when pressing RefAll button nothing would happen with regards to axis moving and the DROs would just be set to zero for machine coords.
