PC not starting Tormach
« on: July 29, 2013, 04:06:50 PM »
Hey Everyone,

I had a PC running my Tormach 1100 and it quit on me so my friend hooked me up with another PC (same model)  So i thought i did everything the same when i went to hook up this PC and the red light does not come on the panel.  Not sure if what i did wrong.  I have the port numbers the same in mach 3 and when i disable the port and re-able  it (in the device manager)  i can here the motors like kick in a little, but no red light or movement.  I how someone can help me here and maybe I'm missing something simple.  I hope!

Okay i think i know that problem,  the new pc is set up for 64-bit.  Is there a way to get around this?

Only way you can use a 64bit OS with Mach is to use an external controller as the parallel port driver will not work with a 64bit OS.
