tool request light
« on: May 25, 2013, 03:04:10 PM »
I do manual tool changes and use the m06 code and in general config have it stop spindle and wait for restart.  All that works great but how to I either edit the macro to turn on an output to add a tool requested light like the one that flashing on the screen?  I need a remote light and have a few extra outputs available on my breakout board.  Or if easier is there a m code the turns on outputs or can I make one?
Thanks,
Don

A brain would be the easiest way, just have it look at LED 806, pass signal and output to whichever output you wish. Screenshot below is using output 1.

OK, I guess I need to do a little more research because I haven't a clue where to start with that.  I never did anything with marcos and just use the program as is.
Thanks,
Don

Ok as said a Brain would be the easiest, a brain is not a macro and is much easier to do if you do not know VB.

Go to Operator menu... wait a minute I posted some instructions yesterday to someone so to save typing I will post a link in a few minutes.

Ok look at this post, it will let you see how to do a Brain. You will just be using different options, ie similar to the ones above.
