Setting Tool Number & Tool Length Offsets
« on: May 17, 2013, 09:30:55 AM »
I have just fitted a Kress Toolchanger to my CNC and I've been trying to set up the tool length offsets in Mach 3.  In the tool length offset section on screen it looks like I should be able to enter a tool number and offset value, but the input box just goes back to zero after I enter a value.  I can select the different tools with G code, but I would like to set the offsets and manually select each tool to verify the correct settings and operation.  Is there a simple way to do this?

Thanks,

Richard.

Hi Rich,
You have to be sure to hit the ENTER key after making an entry to any of the Mach DRO's or your input will not "stick".

Is this what you are referring to ?

HTH,
Russ

Ahhh .... looks like you have to set the L (H) in the Tool Table, not on the RUN screen.
Under Config. / ToolTable......
Sorry for the mis-lead,
Russ

Hi Russ,

You were spot on ..I wasn't hitting Enter for some reason.  I should have realised  :-[.

Many thanks,

Richard.
