Please help: Cannot load new G-Code after ref all home???
« on: April 21, 2013, 07:51:18 PM »
I don't call for help very often but here I am.
Custombuilt CNC Router (woodworking), Gecko G-540 controller, win XP, Mach3 newest ver.

I have had this router running for about three years with the same setup. yesterday I had a hard drive crash and had to reload windows. Did the so important restart! Went back in my setup notes and adjusted everything the way (or so I thought) it had been.

Problem: I can load a G-Code file, and zero DRO's on a part, however if I Reference all home, then when loading G-Code it stalls (just Sit's there thinking about it forever) and I can no longer Zero DRO's on the part (click Zero X, Zero Y, etc. button, nothing happens)

I've double checked all my settings and poured through the manual, but most of this is over my head. I drive a loader for a living.

When you do the ref all home, do you get a green led around all of you axis zero buttons?

So I tried ref. home from the diagnostics page individually, and it triggers the same problem. So as long as my 3 axis are not referenced home the machine works fine. when they are I can't load g-code file or zero on a part. This sucks.
