GETTING STARTED
« on: April 15, 2013, 06:37:53 PM »
I just started using a CNC MILLING ROUTER ENGRAVER what ever.
I have a n optional hand wheel independant of the PC
When I use it all axis works fine. Switch to PC MODE
Mach3 WAS LOADED
DID THE CONFIG,
SETUP CABLES, TO MACHINE,
LOAD the road runner
What do you hit to see if the machine will work and
recognize the g-code ???
I'm lost

Section 6 in this manual should get you up to speed.

Hello again
I read the whole PDF
I also switch from LPT1 TO LPT2 made no difference.
I know MACH3 IS HUMONGOUS. but
I load the road runner or any sample and I can see the code watch it
run in MACH3
but what button, what typo etch does one hit to let it talk to the unit
to make it run. I'M LOST

You need to set up Mach to tell it which pin and port each axis is connected to, you also need to make sure you have that axis enabled, you also need to make sure you have the correct port address set, you also need to set the native units and also set up motor tuning to the correct steps per unit, the Velocity and acceleration.
If you attach your xml I will have a look and see if you have the basics set, whether they are the right pins however will depend on the hardware you have. You should find that information in its manual however if its Chinese hardware then there is a good chance that even if it tel;ls you it may be wrong.

Hi
Yes it is Chinese
I check all that, changed this that and the other thing.
I think there is a glitch there with the parallel cable not letting it talk to each other.
I just want to know one thing please.
If all the pins, ports, axis, velocity etc are in the correct mode.
You load road runner ( its a good g-code )
WHAT DO YOU HIT ON THE SCREEN TO MAKE IT RUN THE MACHINE.
Do you hit cycle start, ?? run from here ??
This may be a stupid question but that's the way it is.
Thank you
