Hello,
I just upgraded my version of Mach3 from 3.043.022 to 3.043.066. It does a great job of fix the problem I had with rapidly changing lines of code.
But I see the label TOOLDESC has been changed since ver 3.043.038. I've come to rely on this tool description to make sure I've loaded the correct tool.

Can someone explain this statement from the Mach3 change log to me alittle more?
-- Changed "TOOLDESC" label changed to reflect the discription of the offset rather then the tool

Is there anyway to get the tool description back?

Is there away to get a copy ver 3.043.036, the version right before the TOOLDESC change?

Thanks,
Barry

The log refers Turn and to the label showing the tool as per offset number in Turn rather that tool number. ie if you had called T0110 the tool description would previously have been for tool1 rather than showing offset 10's tool, it now displays the correct description..
I would suggest you may wish to revert back to an earlier version of Mach as 066 and 067 have issues, you can find the previous versions on the ftp site.

I just downloaded 3.043.037 and will give this one a try.

When 'downgrading' Mach3 versions, do I need to uninstall Mach3 first? Or does Mach3 installer overwrite newer files?

No need to uninstall, just install over the top and all should be fine.

Thanks Hood, .037 work well with my test program.
I'll be using for mill 99% of the time with very little lathe. I just run G code, no Wizards or macros.

Does this sound like a good revision choice?

Here is a video of the issue I was having for anyone how's interested.
At minute 2 listen to the stuttle during the lead in of the first cut.
