Limit Overide Configeration
« on: January 19, 2013, 06:46:44 PM »
Hello Again
When a limit switch is triggered it should E-Stop the system, for some reason mine does not. I must be missing a configuration in mach somewhere. It shows up in the diagnostic page when triggered but wont E-Stop.
Any Thoughts
Cheers

You have not got the switches enabled in Ports and Pins. You have the port and pin numbers there but no green tick at enable.

That's right you, have have to enable each limit for each axis. For some strange reason I thought I could do it just with the limit override.
Thanks again hood. its being too long since I set the router up, the brain tends to forget these little things.
Cheers for that Hood!

No probs, the Override is to allow you to back off the switch if you hit it. If you have Auto Limit Override enabled and hit a limit you then just have to press Reset and it will allow you to Jog off. It will be a slow jog however. This is a safety thing just in case you jog the wrong way. Once you stop jogging the speed is set back to normal for the next jog you do.
If you chose just to use the limit override then if you hit a limit you will have to go to the settings page and press the limit override button before you can jog off the limit.
