Halftoner from Jason Dorie
« on: December 30, 2012, 11:01:37 AM »
Just wanted to post a gift I made for my daughter for Xmas this year (sorry about the flash!). It actually looks better at a distance but wanted to give you a detailed picture. My daughter is a big fan of Taylor Swift so I gave the Halftoner software a shot. The material is romark engraving material with a .003" white cap with a black base.

It really is a slick little program that can give big results and I wanted to give the author some props for his work on it.

Tweakie also did some projects here on it as well in the past: http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,20501.0.html

You should give it a try as it's so simple to use. I think the hardest part is to stop tweaking all the controls and just start cutting, lol!!  :D

Nice work Dave, she will be pleased with that.  8)

(This halftone technique looks perfect at a distance then as you get closer and closer it gets harder to believe that there is actually a picture there at all.
The software is just brilliant for creating display / exhibition work and the results certainly get some attention from the visitors. 10 out of 10 to Jason).

Tweakie.
