switching between inches and mm
« on: January 28, 2007, 10:04:13 AM »
I have been running Mach3 with inch gcode files.  Now I have a series of gcode files that are metric.  What do I need to do to be able to switch between the two measurement systems?  I tried a few thing but nothing seems to work.  Maybe it is not possible?

Thanks.

Dan.

Hi Dan,
Another option is to set up a metric Mach XML. profile. You could set your default units to mm. This way your DROs and all will be in mm.

Hi Marcel,
Have you been doing any mind boggling turnings lately? Still amazed.

Hello Brett

Well i tried a sphere with a cube inside it and a smaller cube with spikes in the middle that worked pretty well . Now i am trying a triangle with spikes in the middle of a triangle in a sphere not very pretty yet can't separate the bigger triangle from the sphere so i have to make new tools to accomplish that sequence .The sphere is only .625 so not allot of space around the spikes to do the bigger triangle . i will have to think about it for a while at the same time i am trying to make a jig to divide my spheres ,so there goes another week end .
