Converting JPG & BMP Files To GCode
« on: January 25, 2007, 09:39:32 AM »
Hi to all,
I am kind of new to CNC and Gcode. However, I am currently working on building a CNC Plasma Cutter. I do have Fanuc Motors AND Controller, hence I won't need to use Mach3 for control. What I am currently looking for is a program that converts both DXF files AS WELL AS JPG & BMP files into GCode. I researched for quite a while, and my question is: is Mach3 able to perform those tasks efficiently, and more specifically, does it handle circular interpolation accurately?
I know that I have to test Mach3 in order to verify that, but since I am kind of short on time, I wanted to verify that here first in order to know that I am going in the right direction in my research.
I'd appreciate any input.
Regards!

Not sure what you want to convert, pictures or drawings, but have a look here.
