CNCDIY MPG Handwheel Controller
« on: September 22, 2012, 06:51:53 AM »
Hi Everyone.

I bought one of those cheap hand controllers from Ebay for$38.
Took quite a bit to set it up and get it working. Now it works but when you use the handwheel it moves the axis then when you stop the axis is still moving because it didint keep up with the handwheel.  It does some funny things some times.
Like if I do any thing where text can be typed it just fills it with the letter r and just keeps going until I unplug it.
Anyone else tried it? any luck?
Would be a nice bit of gear if it worked properly.

Can you describe  your set up please? I bought the same handwheel. I have a problem to run it. Actually the MPG doesn't work. E-stop, feed rate and spindle  buttons are fine but I cant move the table.

I have given up on this piece of junk.
And I would suggest anyone else do the same before it wrecks your PC.
It has damaged my serial port on my computer.
Not happy at all with it.

I pulled the Encoder switch out and built my own MPG which works a treat.

Cheers Alllan.

Hi all

Did anyone own the plugin for this model of Handwheel? I get one but without the plugin.
If so can someone upload it here?
Thanks for the time:)

Greetings Mike
