Problem after calibration
« on: September 16, 2012, 08:16:11 PM »
Hi!
After calibration of my 6040 cnc, everything looks ok. Even if i do the calibration again, so I know my calibration is saved. But when I run a program they moving almost 1-4mm too tar, depending on the distance. I use recommended data for velocity(2000) and acceleration(200) step pulse( 10 )dir pulse (5) steps per(320 before calibrated). Anyone know how to solve my problem? Thanks!

Attach your xml and some code and I will see if there is an issue with them.

I am using demo Version R1.84.000. Could that be the problem? Thanks

That version is probably 6 years old so I would say upgrading would be a good idea.
XML seems to look fine however I would suggest you calculate your steps per unit and see if that helps out as the calibration will only be as accurate as you can measure.

I tried the latest mach version. Same problem.  The calibration works well and is so accurate as I want and when tell mach3 to move 100 mm it moves 100+-0,03. But when I run a program for a  detail 100x100mm it is around 104 x 97. I tried to adjust the steps per unit out of this value with access. But after an hour I needed to change it again....  It is possible that the problem is in my control box? Maybe I should buy a gecko g540?
