Mach3 & Intel CPUs With Integrated Video?
« on: August 23, 2012, 05:34:38 AM »
Does Mach3 work correctly with the video that is integrated into modern Intel CPUs, such as the Core i3 series?

I am aware that motherboards with integrated video often have trouble, I've personally had 1 board (Asrock with Intel GFX) that worked fine and several that didn't. However, I've never seen the CPU integrated video mentioned. The computer I'm currently using is occasionally locking up, and I'm thinking of some newer hardware.

Thanks
Ed

The on-board video may affect the pulse. Only way to see what the a particular pc is doing is to look at the pulse with an o'scope.
If a signal is mixed into the pulse it can be nearly impossible to clean it up as the only correct way is to get rid of the offending signal.
Optionaly one could use an external device for the pulsing like the SS.
