CorelDraw PLT to Gcode
« on: July 13, 2012, 12:54:29 PM »
I do most of my art & sign drawings on CorelDraw.  For some reason now when I convert them over to G-Code they show up on Mach3 as a 3-D drawing.  Which in turn makes my Z axis zero out then go sky high.
What am I doing wrong???
Also I changed them over to DXF files thinking that might do it but on SheetCam the drawing is all distorted.
Thanks for any help!!!

Hi FlatCreek,

Perhaps some more details of exactly what you are doing may be helpful in resolving the issue.

I presume you are exporting the Corel drawing as a PLT file then loading this into LazyCam to create the necessary GCode toolpath ??
If so then perhaps the problem is within your LazyCam setup.

Hi FlatCreek,

Sounds as though the problem is in your SheetCam settings then.

Sorry I can't be of any help here as I have no knowledge of using SheetCam but there are many other forum members who use it all the time and I am sure they can help.
