Mach 3 starts on computer but will not cycle start
«

Hello:
I am new to cnc and recently purchased a used desktop with windows xp(32 bit) and a non integrated video card. Mach 3 opens and loads g code but when I press cycle start, nothing happens. Any suggestions?
I am not currently hooked up to a machine because I want to learn the programs first and just run simulations.
Thanks
Stefon

Hi Stefon,
Do you get any message in the status bar at the bottom of the Mach screen ??

Thanks for everybody's help. I installed the parallel driver by accident. I didn't realize that you have to bypass this installation in order to run in simulation mode.

New installation, Reset flashing, selecting it has no effect, still wont cycle. Manual connections all ok but nothing through the software. Driver installed ok according to status bar. Any help appreciated.

Hi Alanchz,
Perhaps you should pay more attention to the settings in the ports & pins input and output settings menu. OK so its stopped flashing now and I can start the cycle. I have quit at this point to sort the wires out and avoid conflict with the scary moving table. Thanks for the help.
