motor steping

i have set my mach 3 to cut a grid on my table 2 inches apart both the y axis and the x axis direction,  the x axis cuts every 2inches like it should butt my y cuts every 1.5 my motors are set the same in the config motor tuning page i wounder if the y has the wrong Greer on it can any one help?

Just a thought but if your controller has microstepping are both the X and Y drivers set to the same value of microsteps ??

Being as your y moves exactly 1.5" and the X 2" and your microsetting for both axis are the same it looks as if you have different gear ratios driving the leadscrews. The Y might have a ratio of motor 4 revs to one leadscrew turn and the X, 3 revs on the stepper motor to one leadscrew rotation. Try using the axis measurement setting in the motor config setup menus. Might be completly wrong but worth a try.
