Bridgeport BOSS Retrofit
« on: January 10, 2007, 05:51:56 PM »
Does anyone have a retrofit for the
Bridgeport BOSS CNC Mills
BOSS 3-6. Either using the original
Stepper Drives or replacing the stepper
drives with another set. Would like to
be able to control spindle off like the
BOSS control did. Anybody know of
any engineered package using the MACH
control that exists.

Hey Arhctysv,
I have a friend that may be able to help. He has one nice Boss and is an expert in Mach. I feel sure he will contribute a lot to your retro. ;)

I have done AH-HA retrofits in the past.
I have at least three machines to do from a
customer of mine and looking for an alternative
How do I contact this person or can
they contact me?

I have the plans and board for the NC2A and the BOSS 3-6 using the original stepper drives.

I would check out Custom-cnc.com , they build a nice box that could be used like the RC500. It has the drives and place to hook on the IO. all you need to do is plug in the motors :)
Fixing problems one post at a time ;)
