no wiring diagram?
« on: January 09, 2007, 07:06:04 PM »
I just got a nema 34, 8 wire stepper motor in the mail from camtronics and guess what.
no wiring diagram.
its the 762 oz 3 amp one.
does anyone know which color wires go to wich phase on the gecko step driver???
Im gonna hook it up in parallel. if that helps.
also Im having a bit of trouble figuring out which current set resistor to use on the driver.
the motor itself sais 4.2 amps
but the website sais the size motor i bought was rated for 3 amps??
Oh this is for a 8''rotary table so Im curiouse if anyone knows which would be best to run infull, half steps , 5 or 10 micro steps. Im gonna couple it directly to the rotary table shaft so there wont be any gearing. Im not anticipating having to run it too fast since im mostly gonna be cutting larger diamiter stock on the table.
thanks for the help world.
