CV and 3 axis
« on: April 16, 2012, 09:44:36 PM »
I have recently downloaded the most current version of MACH3. I configure my settings to allow for CV, but as soon as I push the cycle/start button I am forced into G61, exact stop mode. Why?

I have tried the following:

-Stop CV at angle of 0-89 degrees, checked and unchecked
-CV distance tolerance, checked and unchecked. Various ranges of values
-Installed and reinstalled MACH and generated an entire new profile
-ABS vs. INC

I have tried the following for smoothing out motion:

-Sherline 1/2 pulse mode
-Step/Dir pulse values 0-5 in Motor Tuning

I have also borrowed a Smooth Stepper with absolutely no luck.

Thank you,

How are you generating the GCode ?
Is there possibly a G61 in the prolog of the GCode from the CAM or whatever you are using to generate the GCode ?
Also, chech the Initialization string under Gen Config.
Might also post the code in queastion for evaluation.

Russ

Hi Russ,

Thank you for the reply sir. I am generating G-Code by using MasterCam X5 with a very stripped down post processor...lathe setting disabled. I will try checking the initializing string and possibly post the code as you recommended.
