standard serial plugin port numbers query
« on: April 04, 2012, 11:17:13 AM »
With "modbus plugin supported" ticked on ports n pins the modbus configuration screen has a column labeled Port/Address which implies you can have a different serial Port for each Cfg# line (not sure what the /Address bit of that label is supposed to mean). So what's the single Port text field (top left) for? Just seems redundant/confusing.

Any wisdom gratefully received.

Such a long time passed and still no information about it ? Don't we have anybody here who was active in developing the serial modbus plugin?
Let's hope that this wasn't just a placeholder for never realized future plans.

I am really interrested in a way to have two Modbus lines, because I have one IO device that is limited to 19.200 baud and I cannot drive all my VFD parameters with this low bandwidth.  So two buses 19k2/115k2 would really help me.
