After trying to keep the MHP mill up and running, I have finally given up.  May the MHP RIP!

Now time for the UPGRADE.

I have started to strip all the electronics out of the cabinets, and disassemble most of the mill.  Once it is disassembled, then I am going to repaint most of it.

This is what I am planning (unless something changes)

3 granite devices servo drives
1 DSPMC motion controller
2 I/O cards from Vital Systems
1 10 HP spindle with Toshiba VFD

While removing the existing components, I found some electronics that I am unsure what they are or what they are for.  I will post some pictures later today.

I will keep everyone posted on the progress

Here are the two items that I am not sure what they are.  I am posting links to E-bay for these items.  I cant find the manufacture sheets for these items.

1)  power conditioner     oneAC FT series ---  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oneac-Power-Conditioner-550VA-120VAC-Model-FT1105-009-131-NIB-/370578426612?pt=BI_Circuit_Breakers_Transformers&hash=item5648320af4#ht_1777wt_1163

2)  Capacitor (i think)  R-K Electric Co.  model RCY6G-30V   http://www.ebay.com/itm/RK-ELECTRIC-CO-RC-NETWORK-MODEL-RCY6G-30V-RCY66-30V-CINCINNATI-MC02-MCO2-/180748585275?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a1574893b

Update-

I got most of the wiring removed today, and the way covers off.   I was suprised of how good the ways look. There is zero rust and just a small groove on one of the y axis ways. I can see the mark, but cant feel anything.

All of the guards and covers are off and being either sandblasted or wire brushed clean.

What does everyone think about using line-X to cover the inside of the chip guards?
