strange behaviour wizard rectangular pocket
« on: February 13, 2012, 06:55:32 AM »
Hi all,
I just want to make a simple line (depth 20mm, length 260mm,width 4mm) with  my double_straight bit (4mm diam)
So, I use the wizard "rectangular pocket" to make a rectangle of 260 and 4mm width...
But in the Gcode, I see a G00 X2 Y2....
Why that offset on X & Y  ?
Perhaps there is another way to do it more "elegant" ?

Thanks for helping me.

All depends where you told the wizard where the part was etc, so that could well be exactly where you told it to go.

You are asking for a pocket of length 4mm with a tool dia of 4mm and also askking for a finish amount of 0.1mm that is impossible to do.
