check username in a script
« on: February 12, 2012, 01:12:18 PM »
Hello everybody,

I'm a German Mach3-User and I've build my own Mach3-Screen.
Some people ask me: is it run with the "Ivan-lic"? Are they stupid!? I've spend a lot of time in my scripts and I don't will work for this people.

My question is: is it possible to check the UserName in the script? If yes, how to?

Sorry for my bad english. I can read english good but speak and write is very slow.

Greeting from Germany/Cologne
Manfred

If you interestet of my screen, you can look it at: www.machschmidt.de
But it's in german language only.

That's a very good idea. But, I don't think it's possible.

Manfred - I have written code that can do this for much the same reason as you. If you ask Scott (Mach licencing) to confirm to me that you are a licenced user I can PM you a code fragment that demonstrates the basic principle. I don't want to post licence based things on open forum.

Hi Ian,

thank you for the example. I will test it in a few days and give you a feedback.
In the next time I will try out my homepage in english, but it's a big challange for me.
