OK, How about....
Whenever a Tool Change comes up, Mach can send a text message to my cell phone telling me to get up from the (nice, quiet and warm) front office computer and go back into the bowels of the shop to change the tool?

Just set up an output to put a signal out to a relay, this relay is then connected to a wire that goes to your comfy office chair and sends 10,000v through the seat. I am sure that would alert you quicker than a text message, you would also have the benefit of being launched halfway to your machine with the jolt and finally it will keep you warm

I would prefer to have the entire machine on tracks/rails that glide it into my office through auto doors so that I didn't have to leave the comforts of that warm office!
(i always forget to bring my coffee with me!)

I think it should call me wife and ask her to change the tool and set the tool length;)
I will have to write this up as an Auto tool changer with Tool length Probe
Good thing she never reads this

You are right, or she may be asking for a larger tool length offset

My tool hasn't been polished for quite some time.

You scrub it down with Laquer thinnner and a coarse scotch brite first to get all the gunk and dust off.
I think I see the engine bay of a 69 Camaro.
