Y axis 1 of two motors jumping
« on: November 28, 2011, 10:46:51 PM »
Hi Total newbie here,
I have a 4x8 procutcnc plasma table i built, gecko g540, 620oz steppers, & Mach3. I have read the manual for mach quite a few times over, as well as the tutorial videos, and i've been all over the forums. What my question is: My x,y,z,(a slave) axis are working like their supposto except when i try to home the y axis motor seems to jump tward home in about a 3-4" distance repitiously 3-4 times then it just stops. no e stop triggered or limit switch triggered. it just does it wherever its at on the axis. Has anyoneone encountered this? It's probably a simple mistake on my part. Any help would b appreciated.                              thank you

Does the slaved axis have one home switch or two?
If just one, check "Home Slave with Master" in general Config. If you have two home witches (one for each side), then uncheck it.
