Hi

A new customization using Mach3.

This is a machine for studs welding with capacitive discharge, note also the interface used for Mach3.

Did you design the head/nose that actually holds the studs or is this a proprietary device ??

Yes, the head/nose that actually holds the studs is a proprietary device...

Have you see on my web the VSC (Variable Speed Control), how do you think?

Hi Andrea,

I like your new VSC - it is very neat - (why is your equipment wiring always so neat and tidy ??  ;D ).

I have been working on a, perhaps, similar device to control laser power from (a spare axis) step and direction signals in order to get away from the Mach PWM output which conflicts with the Impact / Laser plugin operation. I never thought of using the LM331 as I seem to do everything these days with the Microchip PIC controllers.

Keep up the excellent work, your website is a real inspiration.

Hi

Due to the demand, I decided to make available the screen, the macro and the post (SheetCam TNG) that I used.
You can use a screen with a touchscreen display, because the buttons are sufficiently large.

The screen was carried out starting from the Gerry screen "3 Axis Router Screen"

In the "Settings" screen, there are two fields that are identified with "Welding" used by the macro.

Pause  = OemCode 1006
Pause after welding...

Offset = OemCode 1005
Thickness of the part used for zero Z...

In addition to a hidden button for calibration of axes, the word "Stud position" is the button.

The button "EXIT PROGRAM" is a macro that shutdown Mach3, useful for touchscreen displays.

In the "Run Machine" screen, the button "Laser Goto Zero" is a macro that reads the two offset values.
The values must be set with reference to the offset between the tool and the laser.

The button "PARK" is a macro that position the head close to machine zero point, parked just before the shutdown.

In the "Load Programs" screen, the button "Keyboard" is a macro that starts an on-screen virtual keyboard.
